Top-Mounted KR Rudder Pedals

The photos below are the top-mounted rudder pedals from a severely crashed KR2. The large piece of wood is the front shelf (formerly fastened to the firewall), and the pedals hang down from the bottom of the shelf, as opposed to the plans version, which sprout up from the floor. These look a little "busy" to me (over-complicated), but some of that is likely due to the long length of the brake cylinders.



I like the torsion spring idea.





Here's a look at the somewhat plans-built version as done on N56ML.

An even simpler way to mount the cylinders is also shown, but you need to start with short master cylinders. You'd have to reverse the cylinders to work properly ,otherwise the air would go the wrong end, obviously...and the lever would have to be swapped around to push rather than pull the cylinder, but it's doable.
